We freaking love a good wedding here at The Photo Booth Guys, so being hand-picked to feature in Brisbane’s wedding expo A Darling Affair was our idea of a splendid day out.

This was no ordinary wedding show though – with food and drinks vans, fashion parades and the cream of the crop of wedding suppliers in the region attending – this was like Woodstock for loved-up couples and hens parties. We took along a couple of our Photo Booths and an InstaPrinta for guests at the show to play with, plus a 6x2m backdrop featuring a puppy in glasses! Just… well, because.

Any guests hashtagging their photos at the event got free printouts from our lovely InstaPrinta, while our cute puppy design attracted plenty of people onto the booth for a quick photo session. Our huge backdrop, covered by two cameras, provided red or blue stripey options, plus the usual props and weird animal masks – as demonstrated rather nicely above.

Prize pins

We also had some stylish badges to give away, with classic bridal designs including BADGER ON A BADGE and WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER. These became so popular at the show that people started trading them and using them as currency (this may not be true).

Tight fisted?

We’re assuming these three were models rather than confused couples who actually got married at the show, but who knows. Not a bad idea for saving a few cents on your wedding actually… hmm.

A Darling Affair events showcase new and unusual wedding suppliers and vendors to provide couples with a huge range of ideas to make their big day perfect. The atmosphere at Brisbane’s historical Old Museum venue was amazing and we loved meeting so many excited and creative couples planning weddings that matched their style and personalities.
